With some trepidation the trip home approached. This would also be the first on an aeroplane for our Little Boy, and considering one half of the family suffers from bad ears on flights, it was a little worrying – especially as the flight is seven hours long. Purposely we had chosen a night flight as at present he is sleeping through the night, this minimizes his awake time (hopefully), but the one downside is that we would have to keep him up an extra few hours before the flight took off.
Our plan unraveled a little when the flight was delayed by 90 minutes – but we managed to sweet talk our way into the lounge which made it more bearable.
Having managed to get the bassinet seats on the flight, when we eventually boarded we settled him down he went straight to sleep – we on the other hand didn’t sleep so well as we were worrying about him.
Come morning and 3,500 miles later, he awoke, we fed him and he was really good natured about it all – a born flyer almost.
Seems to be a case of parental over-worrying!
