Pacing up and Down

Today was strange. Strange good not strange bad. My beautiful wife went for the Nuchal Translucency Screening scan at the hospital back home. The thing that made this not right, or strange, is that I couldn’t be there – I’m 3½ thousand miles away and feel a little disconnected.

The Nuchal Fold Testing is able to reliably tell if there are any problems regarding Down Syndrome with your baby, and although this is a standard test I found myself pacing up and down waiting for news. All I can say is thank goodness for BlackBerry’s. The ability to have live conversations with people at no cost is hugely beneficial – not that cost is a factor in any way.

Subsequently, up until I had some news, I ended up with a headache which may or may not be attributable to the waiting – but it went away once I’d heard that “All is well”.
